I agree with the findings. I currently study part time doing a B.Com Ind. Psych. degree and have found that being relaxed you take in a lot more info. In my last semester, due to work, I only managed to study a month before the exams and passed 5 of the 6 subjects. I failed accountancy due to a lack of interest. But all my Psych and Law subjects I got good grades. I'm a parent, manager and student.
My only comment I want to make is that marijuana should not be used excessively by people with a low intellectual capabilities and a weak social foundation. This may lead to violence or acting less favourable according to the norm. The reason why I make this comment is that I am able to mix with anyone on the social ladder. It can be a bum or professor; I can communicate with each on his/her level. But what I’ve found is that the majority of people with very little or no educational training as well as a total lack of, or no family or social structure that use marijuana or even worst, chemical drugs, tend to fall into a trap of becoming aggressive or act in a way that makes the majority of members of society feel uncomfortable. But on the other side of the coin, people with a high level of educational training as well as being naturally above intelligent with a solid family and social structure tend to come up with brilliant ideas and are far more relaxed and able to make better controlled decisions.
The reason for this is that they let the “effect” work in their favour together with their intellect. This enables them to concentrate better at what they do as well as being in tune with their surroundings and their task at hand. I’m making these comments because I have firsthand experience of this. Now I just wish that some scientist with balls will do an experiment and confirm this hypothesis.
To conclude, keep drugs away from dumb people and give graduates, that want to, with solid moral and social principles a licence to grow their own for the benefit of mankind. Just a thought.

I have been a daily smoker for about 25 years. When I tried to quit I got very sick and couldn't eat. I took that to be addiction, but a year ago I was diagnosed with (of all things..) POT Syndromme, an autonomic nerve disorder I was born with.
It seems I've used marijuana for two decades to save my own life, and it has.
My disorder makes it impossible to eat anything unless I have a bowl first. I was once 180 pounds, when I tried to stop smoking I dropped to 115 pounds.
With meds to boost my bp and a joint a day I manage to keep my weight at a healthy 125-130 now.
I honestly believe your body tells you what you need, and if you listen to it, you can save your own life without even thinking about it.

Everyone at school tells me its bad, and everything I said back, would be what you said in the article - before i even read it. I dont know what to do, and i want to find out the right way, before its to late

I was told that marijuana is bad for me and that it causes brain damage. I trust the person that told this to me, how can anything that causes brain damage be beneficial?
