Marijuana Cuts Lung Cancer Tumor Growth In Half!!! ScienceDaily (Apr. 17, 2007)
The active ingredient in marijuana cuts tumor growth in common lung cancer in half and significantly reduces the ability of the cancer to spread, say researchers at Harvard University who tested the chemical in both lab and mouse studies. Here we are two years hence from that remarkable discovery and still there is no acknowledgement from the mainstream – not the press, the politicians or the medical healers. It is really not all that surprising. After all in 1974, there was another very conclusive and equally astounding result proving that marijuana cured cancer of the breast. That study was not just under-reported – it was buried, hidden and denied! Then a hero of the marijuana advocacy group uncovered it, just a decade ago. How foolish was I ten years ago?? to have thought that the magnificent benefits of marijuana would finally be acknowledged…..Is it equally foolish now, to think that possibly the tide is really turning? There is so much information available for the public to stumble upon. Everything demonstrates incredibly positive effects from marijuana for all kinds of cancer and for just about anything THAT HAS THUS FAR BEEN STUDIED. Does it mean we are in for a truthful era?? Have you heard? one other Myth of Marijuana has been flattened!!! Even though there were so many studies that displayed very helpful effects from administration of marijuana – in varying forms, for all kinds of mental expressions of disease, such as SAD, ADD, ADHD, bi-polarity, depression, etc., there was this definite MYTH that marijuana would make Schizophrenia worse. Even though so many who suffer from this devastating imbalance have for decades testified to the benefits of marijuana for moderating the symptoms, the medical establishment maintained its MYTH. Check it out: (Synthetic) THC Can Improve the Symptoms of Schizophrenia (Clinical Psychopharm: June 2009/29/3, Schwarcz, Glenn MD; Karajgi, Basawaraj MD; McCarthy, Richard MD, PhD So what can we deduce from all the evidence thus far? after we admit that we have all been duped by the powerful, profit-driven, purposeful crusade of lies? That the benefits of marijuana are long term, broad-based, indicated for all mental and physical expressions of imbalance of the body/mind?? as per the studies and the anecdotes of millions of patients. AND according to the testimony of millions from modern times and from countless ancient civilizations, for those who seek to experience a deeper reality, the benefits of marijuana both expand and enhance the essential element of human life known as consciousness?? Could it be that this ancient herb – with its ubiquitous dispersing around the world, acknowledged, appreciated, and even adored by advanced civilizations for thousands of years for its mysterious/mystical/unspoken access to realizing the backdrop of all life – actually affords a human being a glimpse of something other than simply the surface of life? Could it be that there is a primeval, basic thread of compatibility between the Sativas and the Sapiens that has been carried forth biologically from time immemorial? The Cannabinoid System in our bodies bodes such a cohesive connection. The science is there for all to see. But we had best all look quickly, just in case the truth is once again suppressed. Marijuana actually does enhance consciousness. It expands awareness. It oxygenates our whole beings. It is a compound at once embraced within the regulatory cannabinoid moderators of the human body to restore balance.
Be forewarned: the medical and pharmaceutical giants are taking the graceful, ancient, perfectly balanced, natural plant and planning on a new pill/patch/potion in a variety of delivery systems so that we pay rather than plant! And it will be called a NEW DISCOVERY.

Finally, as we face the problems of devastating unemployment, consumerism gone wild, and a nation floundering in its own excess – marijuana is being considered as a savior - for the money of it. Why am I not surprised? After all for the past 30-plus years, the United States Government has been responsible for the tragedy of imprisoning millions of people for marijuana crimes – resulting in dangerously unsanitary and overcrowded prisons/ ruined lives/shamed and broken families/ and hundreds of thousands of suffering patients denied relief from this health-giving plant, simply for the money of it. It is true, that the tide of public opinion is turning toward sanity because the truth of marijuana’s health-giving benefits has been exposed. The genie really can’t be put back. But how absolutely shameful and yet sadly, how terribly predictable – that the impetus toward legalizing marijuana comes not from appreciation of its physical, psychological and even spiritual benefits for the world, but instead because of the money it can generate in taxes. No doubt, legalization of marijuana cannot happen overnight, but now the door has been opened, the polls have said yes, the governor of
California has dared speak the unspeakable. “Legalize marijuana and tax it.” Ironically – the reason that marijuana was banned in the first place and maligned as an evil weed was only because of the money that could be made from its prohibition. Times have changed. Now it looks like there is more money in taxing it. So what else could you expect from this most materialistic culture of ours, but that money would be at the bottom of it all. The purposeful lies that marijuana is a stepping stone to hard drugs, an agent of physical and psychological damage, or the wrong message to the children, all seem to be forgotten.
For the federal government to continue to maintain – that marijuana has “no medical value in light of thousands of studies that prove just the opposite, and especially as state after state ratifies its use for medicine – just cannot stand anymore. We are entering the time where the government rewrites history – again. All the lies will be rewritten. All the imprisonment will be forgotten. Or so it appears. We are about to witness the doublethink of those who run everything – simply – for the money of it.

The latest studies on marijuana benefits for health are astounding! What is there that marijuana is not able to help? With the growing body of evidence (gleaned from stringent studies over the last two decades and motivated by anecdotal evidence of thousands and thousands of patients), concerning whatever serious disease and not-so-serious complaint that can be imagined, there can no longer be any doubt in any rational person’s head – who has looked beyond the malicious propaganda into the reality of science – or who has been lucky enough to have first-hand knowledge – that marijuana is good for everything that ails us! Even the
U.S. government – in 2008 secretly patented the properties of marijuana’s anti-inflammatory and neuro-protective benefits. So I can ask in all sincerity – What is there that marijuana does not help?
Science shows it to be effective in treating disorders related to: Breathing, Circulation, Balance, Spasticity, Nervousness, Anxiety, AIDS, Seeing, Pain, Tumors, Cancer, Nausea, Inflammation and every physical expressions of Stress for which it has been tested. The latest study shows that it even helps us to have less injuries and accidents. And for those who smoke it – the most recent discovery shows that it protects the lung from cancer!!!!! That particular study was accomplished via funding from the government, and conducted by Tashkin who grudgingly released the wonderful findings. Less lung cancer even for cigarette smokers – if they also smoke marijuana!! No surprise that Cannabis is prescribed by enlightened medical doctors in those states that have legal marijuana (which are growing by leaps and bounds every single year), yet it is still stigmatized and even considered criminal in the majority of the states.
The constituents of Cannabis Sativa have an uncanny compatibility with the human body which is why it works so effectively and why the U.S. Government patented its spectacular effects, since by law – no plant can be patented. It has no down-side except prison and a slightly irritated throat if smoked via joint/pipe/ bong (which disappears when one stops smoking). And medically, the efficient, safe way to administer marijuana is the popular Vaporizor. This is a DARE BLOG to serious non-propagandized persons – What is there that marijuana does not help?

Who would have believed that a politician would actually do what he promised. Obama fooled us!! He is recognizing the Constitution and letting the states determine their policy on marijuana. Maybe the Marijuana Consciousness has evoked a rationality not often seen in our jaded world. And so medical marijuana will be an unchallenged practice where it is legal via state law, according to the Obama administration, just like he said during the campaign. No more DEA raids on Cannabis dispensaries!! So, in at least 13 states, you can get relief from illness, disability, mental suffering, pain, blindness, nausea, brain tumors – via the safest remedy on the planet. That leaves millions of Americans doomed to unnecessary suffering – but, nevertheless, the light of rationality is definitely within sight. And check out
California — Legal, taxable, recreational marijuana is being considered!!! How smart is that. How can this wonder be happening? Simple – Two reasons. 1) No doubt, the progressive attitude of the West Coasters who are not afraid to step outside the old, stale, familiar, repressive mold. But, most importantly – 2) MONEY – THERE IS SO MUCH MONEY TO BE CAPTURED BY RECOGNIZING THE BENEFITS OF MARIJUANA AND TAXING THE CITIZENRY THAT PARTAKES – it really cannot be ignored now. This most sensible avenue for rescuing
California from bankruptcy has made its way to the light of day – in the California Congress. Rather than locking people up who want/need/love marijuana, tax them as all other recreational substances are taxed; at the same time, stop filling up the overcrowded jails with marijuana people!! How sane is that!!
Well I like to think, things can get better. Maybe I am fooling myself. After all, the marijuana movement has been given false hope before – more times than I’d like to remember. But now – it does seem that a strong youthful mindset has truly infiltrated the Old Boys Club of Unconsciousness. Rationality has awakened from the recesses of intuitive wisdom – inherent in the potential of humanity and released so effortlessly through the benefits of marijuana. The Marijuana Collective Consciousness has overtaken the fear of propaganda! It is certainly time to rejoice – but not to become complacent. It is very important to keep up the pressure. And the most important thing any one person can do – Maintain the Marijuana Consciousness of Rationality.

This WONDERFUL NEWS ought to be headlined around the globe. The studies are clear: THC of Cannabis Sativa – the unjustly demonized and thoroughly misunderstood molecule that causes the “high,” actually is dissolving cancer tumors right before the eyes of the scientists. This is humungous news! “Medical Marijuana can be effective treatment for Cancer” announced doctors: “clarification of the mechanism of cannabinoid action may help investigators to explore its therapeutic benefit “cannabinoids… shown to reduce the invasiveness of cancer cells… cannabinoids may offer therapeutic options in highly invasive cancers.” “Journal of National Cancer Institute Advance Access / online on December 25th 2007. AND it is completely safe!! Marijuana (leaves and flowers of Cannabis Sativa) has been medicine for ten thousand years. Modern research is in complete agreement with the 10,000-year admiration, appreciation and even adoration of the benefits of marijuana. Yes, it is ASTOUNDING. We have a natural medicine that is completely in sync with our beings. It restores balance to the whole organism. And it grows like a WEED. It is easy to distribute, easy to administer, and just by luck – it imparts a feeling of well-being!! (
Institute of
Medicine in describing its effects).
Marijuana is even demonstrating an ability to PREVENT CANCER. That marijuana prevents cancer – especially lung cancer (of heavy smokers of tobacco and marijuana) comes from a
US government study trying to prove how bad smoking marijuana is for your lungs. BUT – Lo and behold, the results were positive for marijuana!! Marijuana smokers, even if they were also heavy tobacco smokers, had the same results as the non-smoking population. Actually, if you smoked marijuana and tobacco, you got less cancer (of the lung) than if you had smoked nothing. Could that be? It seemed too good to be true, so it was not reported. But by knowing how Marijuana Therapy balances the biological systems of the human organism, we can see it makes perfect sense. www.benefitsofmarijuana.com
And marijuana is palliative! It helps the horrendous symptoms caused by chemo. It takes away the nausea; the depression; the lack of appetite. Marijuana has enormous health benefits!! BUT we can’t use it – even if we are dying of cancer. In the
US – using marijuana to have a feeling of well being is against the law! Using marijuana is allowed in a few states for chemotherapy reactions and for pain. But marijuana is never allowed to prevent cancer or to stop cancer.

The truth about the benefits of marijuana is drowning out the lies. Finally! The arrogance of a nation that would deliberately cover up the truth is showing through all the evil propaganda. This shameful government agenda of deceiving the public has endured for more than 60 years. But the old guard is dying out. The scientists of today are the children of the baby boomers of yesterday. How interesting that modern science is finally proving, beyond a shadow of a doubt, not only the absolute complete harmlessness of this ancient plant, but – for just about anything that it is tested for, marijuana is displaying unexpected magnificent health advantages for human biology.
Clinical Studies – not reported! Marijuana helps to prevent cancer. Tests show that marijuana actually prevents cancer! for Breast Cancer, Brain Cancer, and now possibly Skin Cancer – specific marijuana compounds have cured cancer! The diabolic fact: in the 60’s, a government study in
New Mexico proved marijuana prevented cancer. The Lynn Pearson Study was hidden for nearly 40 years by the government. Ten years ago, it was found. Modern science shows these same wonderful results. But it is still not making headlines, not on radio or TV. But the truth can’t be hidden. Clinical studies are all over the internet. While most Americans don’t read professional journals, most of us do read the truth about marijuana on the internet.
Well this is just a blog. The way that marijuana makes for health and happiness is all in my book. Today I am posting just a bit of recent science on the “bliss molecule” which is turning out to agree with the ancients who called marijuana “gift of the gods.”
*A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology in 1999, reported that lifetime use of cannabis was associated with a reduced risk of adult, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. *2004 issue of the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics: administration of cannabidiol (CBD) (a marijuana compound) significantly inhibited the growth of subcutaneously glioma cells. (THAT’S BRAIN CANCER) “In conclusion, CBD was able to produce a significant antitumor activity both in vitro and in vivo, suggesting a possible application of CBD as an antineoplastic agent (an agent that inhibits the growth of malignant cells.)” *Last year, Pacif. Med. Research Inst.- “administration of THC on human glioblastoma multiforme cell lines decreased the proliferation of malignant cells and induced apoptosis (programmed cell death).” *Cannabidiol as a novel inhibitor of Id-1 gene expression in aggressive breast cancer cells. Mol Cancer Ther, 2007, Nov; 6(11):2921-7. PMID: 18025276 [PubMed indexed for MEDLINE] *Cannabinoids selectively inhibit proliferation and induce death of cultured human glioblastoma multiforme cells. J Neurooncol. 2005 Aug;74(1):31-40. PMID: 16078104 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]
BTW: 94 studies on Brain Cancer and Marijuana (Cannabis) can be found on PubMed – the government’s own Medical database.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) afflicts at least twenty thousand
U.S. veterans. There is no known cure for PTSD. Common treatments include counseling and sedating drugs. They are just a stop gap treatment until a real remedy is found. Marijuana Therapy is that remedy! It definitely helps the symptoms of PTSD, and over a long course of treatment, may even cure it. But that doesn’t matter to the U.S. Government. With severe emotional trauma, the brain region called the amyglia becomes destabilized. Its function of filtering out past horrible memories does not work. The person keeps reliving the horror over and over again. Amazingly, fortunately and definitely, Marijuana Therapy restores balance to the amyglia. Within this part of the brain, there are many cannabinoid receptors which can be restarted through the cannabinoid compounds (like THC) in marijuana. For some reason, with the shock of the horrific event, the natural brain cannabinoids become ineffective – or are not produced in sufficient quantity – or maybe the receptors themselves become dysfunctional. So far the scientists do not have that answer. But it is proven that the (cannabis/marijuana) plant cannabinoids restore the functioning of the amyglia!!!!! which then can do its job of filtering out the emotions of the past horrific event. This is the experience of the thousands of veterans suffering from PTSD who attest to the relief that Marijuana Therapy imparts to them!!! The truth of this wonderful and safe ancient remedial plant for PTSD first began to surface with the Vietnam Vets. But the government turned the same deaf ear to those veterans then as now. It will not even address the issue. As a matter of fact, the government only recently admitted there is such a thing as Post Traumatic Stress! caused by the horrors of war.
For everyone who suffers from PTSD – for whatever reason – Marijuana Therapy has been shown to be very effective and safe. Not like the talking therapies which have a dismal record of helping trauma victims, and nothing like the dangerous, numbing, and addictive, but legal drugs that cost a fortune and deaden one’s mind. BTW: it just so happens, that starting in 2004, the Israeli army began to conduct controlled studies with Marijuana Therapy for PTSD. They heard tell from their soldiers that it worked. Preliminary findings actually resulted in government-issue THC for their soldiers. That’s right!! Israeli soldiers are given THC as part of their rations!
This blog recognizes: Marijuana Therapy for PTSD as a valid, tested and tried remedy that is absolutely safe. Why does the government ignore the facts?

Marijuana Therapy Helps ALL Stress-related Disorders! There are numerous classifications of stress: by age, personality-type, precipitating event, behavior, degree and long-term cause. Marijuana Therapy helps them all: depression, obsession, regression, suppression, aggression, along with their hundreds of sub-categories. (Many particular stress-related dysfunctions will be dealt with individually, in depth, in this blog over the course of the next few months, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.)
Stress is Imbalance. Marijuana Therapy Balances the Autonomic Nervous System through its compatibility with the Cannabinoid Network. Science only uncovered the Human Cannabinoid Network 20 years ago – even though it is over 20 million years old. It is the balancing constant throughout the entire animal kingdom (including homo sapiens.)
The Cannabinoid System is the moderator of extreme reactions of the organism. It tones down the drama and lets us chill. Ironically, the balancing network of the entire human organism is actually named after the Cannabis Sativa plant whose compounds are known as Cannabinoids. These are the chemicals that make for the experience of feeling high or feeling hungry. The Human Cannabinoid System responds to the marijuana plant cannabinoids with more enthusiasm than it does to its own self-produced cannabinoid hormones. Scientists were actually testing the effects of marijuana, when they discovered this ancient balancing system in the human body. As soon as there is contact between the cannabinoid receptors of the body with the cannabinoid compounds of the marijuana plant (the most famous cannabinoid is the THC molecule) – the breath is deepened, slowed and regulated. This is an immediate anti-stress effect. Shallow breathing dissolves to full breathing which equals relaxation!
Modern Lifestyles Cause Imbalance. Everyone feels the pressure. Life is too busy, too competitive and insecure. The organism is predictably stressed. Its balancing mechanism is not able to cope. It needs help. Marijuana Therapy is the rational answer. Natural disasters of plagues, epidemics, volcanoes, tsunamis, famines all pale when we see what our own civilization has generated. Physical and mental degradation is occurring faster than modern science can notice. We are out of sync, stressed and are getting sick. We need help to rebalance. We need Marijuana Therapy.

Precious (esoteric) knowledge is not to be given indiscriminately: it may be wasted, defiled and distorted to the point of permanently damaging its future good. The truth about the benefits of marijuana has been so distorted. This ancient, most useful plant of higher consciousness has most assuredly been defiled. Its myriad uses in the past as well as its apparently limitless future applications are wasted by the apathy of the public and the fiendish practices of the profit-mongers. Now is the time for Change!! Our culture is exhibiting unmistakable signs of decline. The population is suffering from escalating chronic disease. The environment is compromised further each day. Clinical Depression is rising to dangerous, unprecedented levels. We must face the truth!
Marijuana Therapy Dissolves the Depression:
Every year approximately 15 million people are diagnosed with Clinical Depression. Women suffer the most, then men, then the elderly, and then the teens and finally even little kids. Brain chemistry is blamed; Or past history; Or present problems; Or future worry; Or personality; Hereditary; Drugs, Isolation; Loneliness; Lack of Self-Esteem; even Spiritual Alienation. Medical Treatments suppress the symptoms via legal, prescribed, profit-producing drugs (poisons). The results are dismal. Less than half obtain relief. “Possible Side Effects” include addiction, digestive problems, permanent organ damage, mental confusion and possibly suicide? Psychological Counseling is another popular avenue for dealing with Depression. It is really just talking about yourself and paying someone who is trained to listen. Its track record for helping Chronic Depression is itself depressing. New Age Idealism claims to diminish negativity with aroma therapy and positive thoughts. Sometimes this is effective in the short term, but loses its glamour quickly. Simply put: The basic cause of Depression is not addressed because it is not known by modern Western Medicine. Ergo: The lay population continues to be plagued with the debilitation and despair of Clinical Depression, without an effective remedy. Depression occurs when the system is sluggish, i.e. depressed!!! The organism is not in balance and not properly energized!! Depression is the description of diminished oxygenation to the organism – which of course can present as chemical imbalance, accompanied by worry, feelings of isolation, inferiority, and isolation. Clinical Depression is actually built into the character of the subject and has definite underpinnings of past unpleasantness. It presents as imbalance in the ANS. (No need to psychoanalyze. No doubt there were painful situations.) Breathing became habitually, invisibly slightly diminished which equals less than optimal functioning. In Western medicine, the nuances of the breath are not studied. In the East, the intricate subtleties of “the breath” have a profound effect on personal experience. Diminished oxygenation to the organism, especially to the brain is immediately remedied with marijuana. “Specifically, the brain receives more richly oxygenated blood and simultaneously receives a greater supply of that blood because of the dilation in all brain capillaries…”*) and so much more. Too much for a Blog. Marijuana actually helps the brain to grow new cells. When fully oxygenated through The Marijuana Response – the brain thrives and expands!! Along with appropriate exercise, diet, moderation in lifestyle, over the long term, Marijuana Therapy is a most basic and beneficial remedy for Clinical Depression. [Reference: Journal of Clinical Investigation, Nov 1, 2005 – Cannabinoids promote embryonic and adult hippocampus neurogenesis (brain cell growth) and ….anti-depressant-like effects.” ]

Fortunately, life takes us on many strange twists and turns. Many years ago, I was nearly 30, lived the suburban housewife trivia, taught school in between car-pooling, and was in the state of not having much time to notice much of anything -`always running, planning, shopping, entertaining, dressing, cooking. The marijuana consciousness was a life-altering experience. Externally everything changed – where I lived, who I lived with, what I ate. More importantly, my inner life was once again focused on the deep and timeless values of my youth. Trivia faded from my thoughts.
The marijuana experience intervened into my world of normal cultural goals to remind me of that state of innocence and stillness I had lost along the way of transitory distractions. Marijuana let me remember myself!
The Benefits of Marijuana was written without choice. What I learned through years of intense interest concerning this majestic plant could not be contained. As a mother, I am forever grateful, for its part in helping to cure my son of his epilepsy. Personally, my gratitude is expressed for the consciousness-raising mercy of marijuana, for its health imparting effects, for the peace it engenders, for the mega-industries that it could replace in ecological splendor, for its tenacity throughout the thousands of years of human mistreatment, for its grace, for its perfume, for its ability to inspire, to breathe more fully, to see clearly, with our eyes and with our minds.
After writing the book – more than 20 years ago – and finally putting it in print and after years of activism toward legalizing marijuana, it is finally clear that the marijuana consciousness cannot be stopped. It is here in everything, in the sick and the old who need it to eat and see and hear and walk. There is surely no stopping medical marijuana anymore as we see almost weekly the stringent testing that is proving its unparalleled value for so many diseases, disabilities, dysfunction, and distress. And for the youth and for those suffering deprivation, for those who are magnetically drawn to the spiritual awakening that can ensue from the regular and serious employment of marijuana, for all those who appreciate liberation from conditioned notions, marijuana as a recreational experience is also here to stay. In advertising, in scholastic institutions, on television, in hospitals, the marijuana-influence is here. There are those who can see and recognize this wave away from the purely material in welcoming acceptance. There are others for whom money and power are everything. For those mainstreamers, there appears no need, no desire for a higher understanding and only fear of the consciousness of the spiritual realm. Marijuana allows us access to the still point in the midst of confusion. It is an ancient and natural yoga that is resurfacing in these times of great confusion and lost values.
